Solid Waste – Waste Management (Residential Only)
The Town of Norwood contracts with Waste Management, Inc. to provide solid waste pickup for residents located within the corporate limits of Norwood. Waste Management collects residential garbage on Wednesday. They will only collect what is in the Waste Management cart. They will not collect bags or loose garbage left beside the cart.
If you are missing a cart, or you believe that your cart may be damaged, please call the Norwood Town Hall and leave your name, street address, and a description of the problem, and we will contact Waste Management on your behalf. If you require more than one cart, you will need to contact Waste Management directly at (704) 982-1224. The Town of Norwood’s contract with Waste Management provides for only one cart per residence.
Streets
The Town of Norwood has started contracting with an outside company to sweep the streets of Norwood once a month. This company has done a fantastic job of ensuring the streets of Norwood are clean and litter-free. We ask that you please use caution when approaching the street sweeper on the road.
